The net is warp-knitted from high-tenacity polyester yarn and coated with a flame-retardant and anti-static polymer. That construction, and those additives, exist because underground regulations require them: a net that burns, or that accumulates static charge, cannot go underground at all.
The side effect is a material that also happens to be an unusually durable barrier above ground — one that does not rust, does not absorb water, does not melt and drip, and does not need replacing every few years.
Every production lot is sampled and tested for strand diameter, break load, elongation, flame time and surface resistance before it is released. The results are recorded per batch, not per catalogue.
Break load on the current grade has also been verified by an accredited national labour-protection testing centre, and that report travels with the goods.
